Hello again!
After some exciting few days watching the StarCraft 2 DreamHack tournament, a winner was crowned today!
The winner, after an amazing finale in a best of 7, is... (drumroll).. Team Liquid's HerO!!

DreamHack Winter 2012!

Hi again!
More non MineCraft related stuff in this post.

Started today, November 22nd and going on til November 25th, the DreamHack has began in Jönköping, Sweden. DreamHack is "the world's largest digital festival", as they write on their Homepage. They are hosting alot of tournaments in alot of different games;

• StarCraft 2, the Eizo open tournament
• CounterStrike:GO, Logitech CS:GO Championship
• League of Legends, DreamHack League of Legends Championship
• Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, Energizer Fighting Championship
• Dota 2, Corsair Vengance Cup
• Heroes of Newerth, DreamHoN Winter Championship
• Battlefield 3, AMD Sapphire Battlefield 3 DHW 12 Masters
• Quake Live, Kingston HyperX Quake Live Tournament

Out of these I will obviously watch the StarCraft 2 streams, as they interrest me the most.

This weekend, on November 17 to 18, a part of the World Championship Series goes live!

My plans for my MineCraft world

Hi again!

This time there will not be any pictures, just a long post where I ramble about the plans I got for my MineCraft world and the thought process for my buildings.

So to start off. This is a world from a save that I didn't play on after I made it a long, long time ago. The world generation was quite weird back then, and this world suffers from the amazing scenery from that time. The main plan I had, was to build scattered cities or villages everywhere. But eventually I found out that it would be way to much work for just me alone.
The first building I made, was a small Zen Buddhist temple on the top of a small, but steep mountain. The black building it became didn't really fit into my idea and the world, but I didn't demolish it or anything.
After I was finished with the temple I figured out that I should concentrate on building a small local community, or a village. This lead me to build a Spanish inspired house for some wealthy villagers. This house, built at the bottom of the steep mountain, is located at the end of the path leading up to the Zen Buddhist temple.
After the Spanish house, which I am quite happy with, the thought was "The village probably need a church". This lead me to search for a suitable place for my church. There was not much space close to the village, other than hills and mountains, so I had to level out a hill to get the space. The building process of the church took around 3-4 hour across two days.
When the church was finished, I was somewhat bored with the small village theme. So I started on the huge office building, located in a area I named "Industry City". This is my largest solo-build so far. At the end, after three days of building, I was not really that happy with it, as it turned out to be one of the ugliest buildings I have seen.
Close to the huge office building, I have started to plan out for some apartment buildings. In these apartments the plan is to have working, "natural looking" lighting. I was tempted to start with an elevator too, but I have no idea or if it is possible to have the elevator to stop at different floors.
And that is my buildings so far!

Some other ideas I got is:

• A harbour or docks with some ships
• More skyscrapers in the industry city, but not so ugly ones
• Jungle village in the jungle biome

In the end, the idea is to get a server so that me and my friends can build on this world together.

StarCraft 2 and the beginning of a new city by my friend

Hey there!
I have not been building that much in Minecraft latley as I have been watching alot of StarCraft 2 streams, and attempted to play some myself. This weekend the Lone Star Clash 2 is still going on as of this post in Austin Texas, and last weekend the MLG fall turnament was held in Dallas Texas. The MLG final was a very interresting one between Leenock and Life, where Life took an unexpected win from the two times MLG champion Leenock.

So instead of showing you something I built, this time I'll show you the start of the new city my friend is building. The work he has done so far is a few buildings at the docks/harbour.
Now, let's chack out his work!

 Here is the inn. The shape of the building makes it have lots of space and room for stuff.

One HUGE and rather ugly building

Hey!

New post, another building. This time I'll show you my newest creation in MineCraft.
I wanted to start the industrialized or capitalized part of my world. And what could be better than a really huge skyscraper! I gotta say that I am not really pleased with the result, as it is rather ugly, but I will definitely build more huge structures in the future. I have only built the exterior of the building so far, because it would take way too much time to fully furnish it as an office building, but I think I'll maybe finish it someday.

Note: This is really not anywhere near my best or greatest builds.
Another note: I have turned off the clouds in my game so you cannot see that it "scrapes the skies".

What you have been waiting for, some pictures of the building process!

Here is what I started with. The idea in the beginning was to have two staircases all the way up to the top of the building. Sidenote; the whole area was cleared out, by hand, by me alone.

 The two staircases almost complete as I didn't want to build them higher, it would just look wierd. The thing in the middle was the brilliant idea of an entreance, and a way for the executives of the company to look the whole way down the building.

 Here is the lower front of the building almost complete. it is supposed to look like a polished diamond, as the company's name is "Diamonds Inc". Tho it didn't give the impression of a diamond due to the black color.

 For a long time I wondered how tall I would like to have the building. I wanted it to be really tall, but then I figured out how much time it would take to build, as I had been building for like 6-8 hours already.

 And finally! Here is two pictures of the final building. Quite booring with only black and grey, but I didn't find any other blocks that fitted to the "theme".

As I said, I will finish the interior someday in the future. Any skyscrapers I build in the future will probably not be so colorless, if that is a word. I might have to get another texture-pack if I'm going to continue my industry city, as I have cleverly named this area.

The texture-pack I am still using is still from westeroscraft.com, but the website is down so I can't link to it at this time.

Building a small church

Hi there!
Once again it is time for some MineCraft building. This time I built a small church for my new save, which is actually an old save with some freaky world generation. In this save I intend to build a kingdom, well just a buch of buildings and stuff, spread out over a wast area. I got inspired by this on a server, which I can't really remember the name of now, where people just built stuff that didn't really have a general theme and had notthing to do with eachother, but the buildings didn't look out of place either.

For my world I am still using the WesterosCraft Texture pack, I am only in creative mode with no other tools.

And now, let's take a look at my new church!

Here is the plan I started out with. Using the different colors of wool to outline the different things like area for this building and specific form of the building.

I wanted to make it a typical church form, which often resembles the form of a cross.

Sorry for the many pictures! But here is the final one, of the glowing cross outside at night.

The cross is a buch of redstone lamps, which can be turned on and off by the lever in the entrance.
