Hello.
Last post I showed you my Automatic Solar Panel Machine, where the different components were mainly driven by redpower. Well, it turns out, that failed. I could explain in detail what went wrong, but all you need to know is that no solar panels were made in the end.
So here I have completely rebuilt the machine by using mainly buildcraft components. I had it running for about twenty minutes, and it made six solar panels while I was away from keyboard. So it works perfectly! The only minor failure that can happen, is if there is too much raw materials coming in and it overflows, but that is not going to happen any time soon. And if it does, it doesn't really matter.
Finally, here are some pictures.
This is the first room where the raw materials come in, gets melted and distributed to the next room.
This is the second room where the main components which is put together from several parts gets put together.
Here is a part of the second room. This is where the copper and tin gets macerated to make better use of the ore.
This is the final assembly room. The finished solar panels gets pumped to the chest at the bottom.
And here is the house from outside after the building of the new machine.
I am quite happy with the look of my house and the new machine. As you can see, I love the look of marble texture in this texturepack, but I will try to make new buildings with some different blocks.
Speaking (typing) of new buildings. This is the place I have planned to build my sorting machine. I have already made a small pathway to the main house trough the forrest to allow for some easy access, especially at night.
Other blog stuff.
I do know that I don't got new blog posts every week. Real life have been taking up a lot of time recently, especially the attempt at getting a job. And I have been lucky! I'm starting at a new job in about a week. New blog posts will come whenever I got time for them and I feel like doing one.
Any comments is appreciated.
As always,
Play games and have fun!

A MineCraft blog! Some other games here too, but I will keep that to a minimum. Image heavy, Sorry!

Tekkit: Automatic Solar Panel Machine
Hello!
Sorry for the long time between posts. Christmas and new year's was a really busy time for me.
Now I am going to show you my newest creation in my tekkit world, the Automatic Solar Panel Machine!
It took quite some time to figure out how and where to build it, but now it is completed. The thought of this machine came to life when I was sick of making solar panels from scratch every time I added another power hungry machine to my house, so I thought; why not automate the making of them.
At first I wanted it to be like a factory. You know, assembly lines, raw materials coming in at one end and the finished product coming out the other. So here is the overview of the factory building I made.
This is how I started to build the assembly line on the inside.
In the end, after I basically made the whole machine, I didn't really like the look of the building and it was inconvenient to have it away from my main house. So I demolished the building and added a small tower to my main house, so that I could build the machine more compact and space saving in there.
After a couple of hours flying back and forth between the house and the chests filled with machine parts on the old place, I finally got it up and running.
Picture above and below: The ore and sand from the quarry get smelted and used in automatic crafting tables to make some parts of the solar panel.
This partially concealed machine causes a maze of pipes and wires, below the floor where it is not normally seen .
The lever on the right is what switches the machine on or off, with the help of a timer which creates a redstone signal at given intervals.
On the lower floor of the tower. This is where the rubber and coal dust are made, and other materials come in from the quarry and gets distributed to the right places.
On the side of the tower is a small ledge where I placed the bluepower solar panels. The bluepower is used by the sorting machines,
This is the upper room where the final assembly of the solar panel takes place.
There you have it! My automatic solar panel machine. It makes a solar panel every five seconds or so, as long as it got all the materials.
Now that I have build that, I have no idea on what I should build next. I am thinking of some sotr of sorting machine though.
As always,
have fun & play games!
