Long time since last update!

It's been a really long time since the last update on this blog. And I probably wont update it with any more MineCraft posts in any near future. Truth is that I have been really buisy with work and real life, and MineCraft isn't as much fun than it used to be.

I do have some future plans involving games and youtube + streaming, but we'll see what happens.

[Problemsolving] A possible fix if you experience FTB running out of memory

Hi there!

Just sharing a (read: ONE) way to solve a problem with the Feed The Beast modpack running out of memory. (NOTE: This might only work if you run a 64 bit operating system.)

The problem:
Feed The Beast running out of memory, even tho you have 4/8/16/XX Gb ram, and the option to adjust memory usage is maxed out at 1Gb.

The solution I found, was to download the correct version of Java. The 64 bit one, not the 32 bit version which you already have.
Simply go to java.com/en/download/manual.jsp , (Direct Link), chose the "Windows Offline (64bit)" version, and install it.
The next time you fire up Feed The Beast, you should have the ability to adjust the memory usage to your liking:

This fixed the problem for me. It might not fix it for you, but it is worth a try.

Back once more!

And we are back! Sort of.

Hello readers. It have been a really long time since I have posted anything here. Real life came and kicked me in the ass. I have been working almost seven days a week for the last eight months, up till about a month ago when I went back to school. So there have been little to no time playing MineCraft and other games.

But now. School is rather easy, so I will finally have some time to play games again. I was planning on getting Grand Theft Auto V, but I don't like to play on consoles, so I haven't bothered buying it. I have been watching a steam of some guys playing GTA V, and I must say it looks beautiful. StreamerHouse GTA V stream link here. But as I said, I don't plan to get it, even for PC when it comes.

I have also been watching Sjin from the Yogscast building something in MineCraft. It takes him a long time, but it looks so good in the end. You can watch the first of his "Let's build Erebor" series below.

Now, I wont promise any new posts or anything within so much time. But I can say that I will probably post new stuff before it have gone to long time.

A new building, or a bunker?

Hello again!
It's been a few weeks since the last post. Much more things have happend in real life than on my computer recently, especially in MineCraft, but I found some time to build a small building for my future sorting machine.

Only three images this time, as I didn't think I would keep this simple building. It is just a one floor building, so how exciting and pretty could it be?

This is which other colors than the white marble block I figured would look nice. Here you can see the building itself, with the start of the roof.

This is the design I went for at the top of the roof. I didn't want it to be that pointy, so I made the "steps" a bit longer.

And here is what I ended up with when I was satisfied with the roof.


A really short post this time. I will come back with some minor updates on either my tekkit world or my build everything world in normal minecraft whenever I get to make something.
